LOVE AND PEACE!
Friday, December 14, 2001 - 01:31 p.m.
Soon, Fellowship of the Rings comes out at the theatres. I'm excited about it. Tis odd since I've read Fellowship of the Ring a few times and I don't really care for it. Well, I like the characters, especially the elves.. Legolas and Glorfindel are my favs (damn Peter Jackson for replacing Glorfindel with Arwen). I like the overall story as well. It's just the writing style that bothers me mostly, I think. I'm not entirely sure. I just find it hard to make myself get emersed in the story. I did like Two Towers better though.. still gotta get Return of the King.
On a change of subject... I finally found Dance Dance Revolution and I will own it and a controller by X-mas, bwa ha ha. Watched one of my friends play the demo for Final Fantasy 10 a couple weeks ago. Now I really wish I had a ps2. Metal Gear Solid 2 looked really cool as well. I borrowed MSG 1 and Diablo from another friend a while back so I would have something to do. I've been sick as hell for the past 2 weeks. Still haven't totally gotten over it yet. Anyway, Diablo seems kind of fun, though I can't play it really because the stupid game takes 10 slots of memory.
I finally got to read the fourth Harry Potter book. I keep getting in arguments about that series with my whole family. Nobody can understand why my favorite character is Snape hehe. At least my sister is like me and isn't really fond of Harry. We all agree that Lupin rules though. I missed the Tick last night. I was looking forward to it then managed to forget about it. I also missed 24 but I can catch one of the reruns at least. I have so many movies to watch but I can't make myself watch them. I *still* haven't watched Gladiator or Green Mile. I did watch The Mummy Returns, and started watching a few minutes of Blow, but I had to leave. I -will- watch Moulin Rouge when I finally get a copy of it.

 Take the Affliction Test Today!
Saw the Harry Potter movie the other day. It was quite good. The books are, of course, better. I have absolutely nothing to say lately. My friend is back from his mormon mission. That is cool, though I haven't seen him but once so far.

Hmm, it's been a while since I last updated. I've been doing lots of stuff, but not anything extremely interesting.
I went to the beach. That was ok, I suppose. I'm not a big fan of playing in the ocean or swimming in general so I was glad to come home after a few days. We went to Medieval Times, which kicked ass. Our knight was damn good looking. He threw me a carnation hehe. Other than that, the last month as just been the same old stuff; hanging out at my friends' house, playing games, watching movies, reading. I played and finished Zelda: Link to the Past (finally), Zelda: Oracle of Ages, and I'm working on Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I'm almost done with it. I only get to play it when I go to my sister's house. I've played it for 2 days+nights. I think I have two temples and the last 'dungeon' to go.
I have a family reunion to go to this sunday. It's not so bad, I guess. I just sit there with my niece and nephew. I don't really know that many other people there heh. Next Friday I was going to go to a halloween/costume party with my sister-in-law. Her wiccan church friends are having one. I don't know if I'll get to go though because my sis-in-law found out people might be doing drugs there and she said had changed her mind. That pisses me off cause I already sort of have a costume. It's not like she has to do drugs. Just Say No and get drunk instead. I am gonna dress up as Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho for Halloween. It'll be the closest to cosplay I'll ever get probably. I need to finish the 'wig' before next week. I haven't even started on it. If I find out I'm definitely not going to that party, then I'll probably just spray my hair black and not worry too much about it. I will wear that costume somewhere though, if I have to go trick or treating at the shopping centers with my little niece. That'd be pretty cool actually. At least I'd have some candy. I'm hoping my dad will let me borrow some money so I can go to Paramount's "Scarewinds" sometime in the next two weeks. I know two groups of people going, but I don't know which ones I want to go with. I went last year with my sister and her family, so this time I'll probably go with my friends. I've been trying to learn some more japanese lately. It's hard to do alone. I know a little more now, but I still can't really have a conversation with anyone hehe. I'm lazy too. I still haven't tried to memorize any hiragana/katakana. I need someone to work with me. para, you know some japanese. You should get on icq and msg me in nihongo every once in a while hehe. Or just come to playsite and play monopoly. Anyhoo, gonna go now.

Done a few things since I last updated.
Went to some corn field maze yesterday afternoon. It was ok, but we got lost and it took forever to get out. Also went to the drive-in last night and saw The Others (good movie), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (for the second time), and half of Planet of the Apes. We left during the middle of it because half of us had seen it already, and most of us who hadn't were tired and freezing our asses off by then. I've also seen Rosemary's Baby, Blood Dolls, and the last part of Memento. I borrowed and finished my friend's Spiderman game. It was pretty fun. I'm playing Persona right now and I can't decide whether I like it or not. I also play Zelda: Oracle of Ages occasionally. I think I am going to the beach in two weeks. Hopefully that will be fun. Cowboy Bebop eps 3-4 come on tonight. They aren't editing it much at all so far, and they play the opening and ending. That rules. Most of the other shows on adult swim are funny as hell, especially the Brak show. I think I will start taping all that stuff, at least so my friends can see them. I wish I would have recorded last weeks Brak and Space Ghost shows. They were great.

Got a $25 gift card for Media Play. I bought Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy. I dunno why I didn't buy Lunar 2 instead. I got Lunar:SSSC, Vampire Hunter D, and Grand Theft Auto at Funcoland the other day. I beat VHD already but I'm still working my way through Lunar. I've had a dozen other things to do besides play that game. I read another of those X-men novels.. Still have one more to go. Also borrowed Love in Vein 2 from Jessika. I just finished reading it a few minutes ago. I've watched Petshop of Horrors Vol 2, Dragon Half, a Ranma 1/2 movie, a Dirty Pair movie, Cutey Honey vol 1 and 2, and Vampire Hunters (Dark Stalkers) oav vol 1. Still have Chinese Ghost Story, Wicked City, El Hazard vol 1, and Kimera to get through. I finally saw Samurai Jack monday. It was cool.
I keep missing things on tv that I want to see/tape. I was planning on taping Dragonball but I wasn't aware that it started monday so I am just gonna wait until it reruns, if I decide I really want it. Also missed the Jay and Silent Bob segments on the FX channel yesterday.. ironically, it was because I was watching all those Kevin Smith movies I bought. Then Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 came on earlier than I thought last night so I missed the first half of episode 7. Bleh. I have to find someone to go see Jay and Silent Bob Strike back with me. Maybe Jessika and Stacey will invite me along. I doubt my niece can go with me since it's rated R hehe.
I found out that next year there will be Yu Yu Hakusho toys. That made me happy, just cause I've been wanting some Kurama and Hiei action figures heh. If I can get them, and Vincent Valentine and Sephiroth, then I will be satisfied with my little toy collection. I don't have much anime/game stuff other than vhs tapes and actual games. Stacey gave me some Sailor Moon paper cups last weekend. I feel kind of silly having them since they are just crappy paper cups.
I applied for a receptionist job at some gym/spa/therapy place yesterday morning. I doubt I will get it but I don't really care. The only reason I went and applied was because my brother woke me up that morning and told me he was going to apply and that I could go with him.
Back to movies... I've seen so many lately. I finally got to see Orgazmo last week. It's funny as hell. Also saw Tomcats and Dirty Work... and Chasing Amy. I had never seen it until I bought it yesterday.
I would talk about something besides anime, movies, games and books but I can't think of anything at the moment. I've just been watching/playing/buying stuff all week. Maybe I'll come up with something interesting to say later.
